NOTE: Pi haChirot (mouth of the channels) is the mouth of the stretch of water known today as the Strait of Tiran where Yis'ra'el crossed Yam Suph (Sea of Reed) to the land of Mid'yan (modern day Saudi Arabia). The island of Tiran was known as Ba'al Ts'phon and Mig'dol was a watch tower on the hill behind the camp of Yis'ra'el.
