1 a:

And Ya'aqov (3290) went forth continuing his road to Haran (2039), and he came as far as mount Moriyah (4179), and he tarried there all night near the city of Luz (3870); and Y'hovah (3068) appeared there unto Ya'aqov (3290) on that night, and he said unto him, I am Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) of Av'raham (85) and the Elohim (430) of Yits'chaq (3327) thy father; the land upon which thou liest I will give unto thee and thy seed.

2 b:

And behold I am with thee and will keep thee wherever thou goest, and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of Heaven, and I will cause all thine enemies to fall before thee; and when they shall make war with thee they shall not prevail over thee, and I will bring thee again unto this land with joy, with children, and with great riches.

3 g:

And Ya'aqov (3290) awoke from his sleep and he rejoiced greatly at the vision which he had seen; and he called the name of that place Beyt El (1008).

4 d:

And Ya'aqov (3290) rose up from that place quite rejoiced, and when he walked his feet felt light to him for joy, and he went from there to the land of the children of the East, and he returned to Haran (2039) and he set by the shepherd's well.

5 h:

And he there found some men; going from Haran (2039) to feed their flocks, and Ya'aqov (3290) made inquiries of them, and they said, We are from Haran (2039).

6 w:

And he said unto them, Do you know Lavan (3837), the son of Nachor (5152)? and they said, We know him, and behold his daughter Rachel (7354) is coming along to feed her father's flock.

7 z:

Whilst he was yet speaking with them, Rachel (7354) the daughter of Lavan (3837) came to feed her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess.

8 x:

And when Ya'aqov (3290) saw Rachel (7354), the daughter of Lavan (3837), his mother's brother, he ran and kissed her, and lifted up his voice and wept.

9 j:

And Ya'aqov (3290) told Rachel (7354) that he was the son of Riv'qah (7259), her father's sister, and Rachel (7354) ran and told her father, and Ya'aqov (3290) continued to cry because he had nothing with him to bring to the house of Lavan (3837).

10 y:

And when Lavan (3837) heard that his sister's son Ya'aqov (3290) had come, he ran and kissed him and embraced him and brought him into the house and gave him bread, and he ate.

11 ay:

And Ya'aqov (3290) related to Lavan (3837) what his brother Esav (6215) had done to him, and what his son Eliphaz (464) had done to him in the road.

12 by:

And Ya'aqov (3290) resided in the house of Lavan (3837) for one month, and Ya'aqov (3290) ate and drank in the house of Lavan (3837), and afterward Lavan (3837) said unto Ya'aqov (3290), Tell me what shall be thy wages, for how canst thou serve me for nought?

13 gy:

And Lavan (3837) had no sons but only daughters, and his other wives and handmaids were still barren in those days; and these are the names of the daughters of Lavan (3837) which his wife Adinah had borne unto him; the name of the elder was Le'ah (3812) and the name of the younger was Rachel (7354); and Le'ah (3812) was tender-eyed, but Rachel (7354) was beautiful and well favoured, and Ya'aqov (3290) loved her.

14 dy:

And Ya'aqov (3290) said unto Lavan (3837), I will serve thee seven years for Rachel (7354) thy younger daughter; and Lavan (3837) consented to this and Ya'aqov (3290) served Lavan (3837) seven years for his daughter Rachel (7354).

15 hj:

And in the second year of the dwelling of Ya'aqov (3290) in Haran (2039), that is in the seventy ninth year of the life of Ya'aqov (3290), in that year died Ever (5677) the son of Shem (8035), he was four hundred and sixty-four years old at his death.

16 wj:

And when Ya'aqov (3290) heard that Ever (5677) was dead he grieved exceedingly, and he lamented and mourned over him many days.

17 zy:

And in the third year of the dwelling of Ya'aqov (3290) in Haran (2039), Bos'mat (1315), the daughter of Yish'ma'el (3458), the wife of Esav (6215), bare unto him a son, and Esav (6215) called his name R'u'el (7467).

18 xy:

And in the fourth year of the dwelling of Ya'aqov (3290) in the house of Lavan (3837), Y'hovah (3068) visited Lavan (3837) and remembered him on account of Ya'aqov (3290), and sons were born unto him, and his first born was B'or (1160), his second was Alib, and the third was Chorash.

19 jy:

And Y'hovah (3068) gave Lavan (3837) riches and honor, sons and daughters, and the man increased greatly on account of Ya'aqov (3290).

20 k:

And Ya'aqov (3290) in those days served Lavan (3837) in all manner of work, in the house and in the field, and the blessing of Y'hovah (3068) was in all that belonged to Lavan (3837) in the house and in the field.

21 ak:

And in the fifth year died Y'hudit (3067), the daughter of B'eri (882), the wife of Esav (6215), in the land of K'na'an (3667), and she had no sons but daughters only.

22 bk:

And these are the names of her daughters which she bare to Esav (6215), the name of the elder was Marzith, and the name of the younger was Puith.

23 gk:

And when Y'hudit (3067) died, Esav (6215) rose up and went to Se'ir (8165) to hunt in the field, as usual, and Esav (6215) dwelt in the land of Se'ir (8165) for a long time.

24 dk:

And in the sixth year Esav (6215) took for a wife, in addition to his other wives, Oholivamah (173), the daughter of Tsiv'on (6649) the Chivi (2340), and Esav (6215) brought her to the land of K'na'an (3667).

25 hk:

And Oholivamah (173) conceived and bare unto Esav (6215) three sons, Y'ush (3274), Ya'lam (3281), and Qorach (7141).

26 wk:

And in those days, in the land of K'na'an (3667), there was a quarrel between the herdsmen of Esav (6215) and the herdsmen of the inhabitants of the land of K'na'an (3667), for the cattle and goods of Esav (6215) were too abundant for him to remain in the land of K'na'an (3667), in his father's house, and the land of K'na'an (3667) could not bear him on account of his cattle.

27 zk:

And when Esav (6215) saw that his quarreling increased with the inhabitants of the land of K'na'an (3667), he rose up and took his wives and his sons and his daughters, and all belonging to him, and the cattle which he possessed, and all his property that he had acquired in the land of K'na'an (3667), and he went away from the inhabitants of the land to the land of Se'ir (8165), and Esav (6215) and all belonging to him dwelt in the land of Se'ir (8165).

28 xk:

But from time to time Esav (6215) would go and see his father and mother in the land of K'na'an (3667), and Esav (6215) intermarried with the Chorim (2752), and he gave his daughters to the sons of Se'ir (8165), the Chori (2752).

29 jk:

And he gave his elder daughter Marzith to Anah (6034), the son of Tsiv'on (6649), his wife's brother, and Puith he gave to Azar, the son of Bil'han (1092) the Chori (2752); and Esav (6215) dwelt in the mountain, he and his children, and they were fruitful and multiplied.
