And it was at that time in that year, which is the year of going down to Mits'rayim (4714) of Yoseph (3130) after his brothers had sold him, that R'uven (7205) the son of Ya'aqov (3290) went to Tim'nah (8553) and took unto him for a wife Eliuram, the daughter of Avi the K'na'ani (3669), and he went in to her.

2 b:

And Eliuram the wife of R'uven (7205) conceived and bare him Chanokh (2585), Palu (6396), Chets'ron (2696) and Khar'mi (3756), four sons; and Shim'on (8095) his brother took his sister Dinah (1783) for a wife, and she bare unto him Y'mu'el (3223), Yamin (3226), Ohad (161), Yakhin (3199) and Tsochar (6714), five sons.

And he afterward came to Bunah (946) the K'na'anit (3669), the same is Bunah (946) whom Shim'on (8095) took captive from the city of Sh'khem (7927), and Bunah (946) was before Dinah (1783) and attended upon her, and Shim'on (8095) came to her, and she bare unto him Sha'ul (7586).

And Y'hudah (3063) went at that time to Adulam (5725), and he came to a man of Adulam (5725), and his name was Chirah (2437), and Y'hudah (3063) saw there the daughter of a man from K'na'an (3667), and her name was Aliyat, the daughter of Shu'a (7770), and he took her, and came in to her, and Aliyat bare unto Y'hudah (3063), Er (6147), Onan (209) (209) and Shelach (7974); three sons.

And Levi (3878) and Yisaskhar (3485) went to the land of the east, and they took unto themselves for wives the daughters of Yovav (3103) the son of Yoq'tan (3355), the son of Ever (5677); and Yovav (3103) the son of Yoq'tan (3355) had two daughters; the name of the elder was Adinah, and the name of the younger was Aridah.

6 w:

And Levi (3878) took Adinah, and Yisaskhar (3485) took Aridah, and they came to the land of K'na'an (3667), to their father's house, and Adinah bare unto Levi (3878), Ger'shon (1648), Q'hat (6955) and M'rari (4847); three sons.

7 z:

And Aridah bare unto Yisaskhar (3485) Tola (8439), Puvah (6312), Yov (3102) and Shim'ron (8110), four sons; and Dan (1835) went to the land of Mo'av (4124) and took for a wife Aphlalet, the daughter of Chamudan the Mo'avi (4125), and he brought her to the land of K'na'an (3667).

8 x:

And Aphlaleth was barren, she had no offspring, and Elohim (430) afterward remembered Aphlaleth the wife of Dan (1835), and she conceived and bare a son, and she called his name Chushim (2366).

9 j:

And Gad (1410) and Naph'tali (5321) went to Haran (2039) and took from thence the daughters of Amuram the son of Uts (5780), the son of Nachor (5152), for wives.

10 y:

And these are the names of the daughters of Amuram; the name of the elder was Merimah, and the name of the younger Utsit; and Naph'tali (5321) took Merimah, and Gad (1410) took Utsit; and brought them to the land of K'na'an (3667), to their father's house.

11 ay:

And Merimah bare unto Naph'tali (5321) Yach'ts'el (3183), Guni (1476), Yetser (3337) and Shilem (8006), four sons; and Uzith bare unto Gad (1410) Tsiph'yon (6837), Chagi (2291), Shuni (7764), Ets'bon (675), Eri (6179), Arodi (722) and Ar'eli (692), seven sons.

12 by:

And Asher (836) went forth and took Adon the daughter of Aph'lal, the son of Hadad (1908), the son of Yish'ma'el (3458), for a wife, and he brought her to the land of K'na'an (3667).

13 gy:

And Adon the wife of Asher (836) died in those days: she had no offspring; and it was after the death of Adon that Asher (836) went to the other side of the river and took for a wife Hadurah the daughter of Avima'el (39), the son of Ever (5677), the son of Shem (8035).

14 dy:

And the young woman was of a comely appearance, and a woman of sense, and she had been the wife of Mal'ki'el (4439) the son of Eylam (5867), the son of Shem (8035).

15 hj:

And Hadurah bare a daughter unto Mal'ki'el (4439), and he called her name Serach (8294), and Mal'ki'el (4439) died after this, and Hadurah went and remained in her father's house.

16 wj:

And after the death of the wife at Asher (836) he went and took Hadurah for a wife, and brought her to the land of K'na'an (3667), and Serach (8294) her daughter he also brought with them, and she was three years old, and the damsel was brought up in the house of Ya'aqov (3290).

17 zy:

And the damsel was of a comely appearance, and she went in the sanctified ways of the children of Ya'aqov (3290); she lacked nothing, and Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) gave her wisdom and understanding.

18 xy:

And Hadurah the wife of Asher (836) conceived and bare unto him Yim'nah (3232), Yish'vah (3438), Yish'vi (3440) and B'ri'ah (1283); four sons.

19 jy:

And Z'vulun (2074) went to Mid'yan (4080), and took for a wife Merishah the daughter of Molad, the son of Avida (28), the son of Mid'yan (4080), and brought her to the land of K'na'an (3667).

20 k:

And Merushah bare unto Z'vulun (2074) Sered (5624), Eylon (356) and Yach'l'el (3177); three sons.

21 ak:

And Ya'aqov (3290) sent to Aram (758), the son of Tsova, the son of Terach (8646), and he took for his son Bin'yamin (1144) Mechalia the daughter of Aram (758), and she came to the land of K'na'an (3667) to the house of Ya'aqov (3290); and Bin'yamin (1144) was ten years old when he took Mechalia the daughter of Aram (758) for a wife.

22 bk:

And Mechalia conceived and bare unto Bin'yamin (1144) Bela (1106), Bekher (1071), Ash'bel (788), Gera (1617) and Na'aman (5283), five sons; and Bin'yamin (1144) went afterward and took for a wife Aribat, the daughter of Shom'ron (8111), the son of Av'raham (85), in addition to his first wife, and he was eighteen years old; and Aribat bare unto Bin'yamin (1144) Echi (278), Vosh, Mupim (4649), Chupim (2650), and Or'd (714); five sons.

23 gk:

And in those days Y'hudah (3063) went to the house of Shem (8035) and took Tamar (8559) the daughter of Eylam (5867), the son of Shem (8035), for a wife for his first born Er (6147).

24 dk:

And Er (6147) came to his wife Tamar (8559), and she became his wife, and when he came to her he outwardly destroyed his seed, and his work was evil in the sight of Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430), and Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) slew him.

25 hk:

And it was after the death of Er (6147), the firstborn of Y'hudah (3063), that Y'hudah (3063) said unto Onan (209), go to thy brother's wife and marry her as the next of kin, and raise up seed to thy brother.

26 wk:

And Onan (209) took Tamar (8559) for a wife and he came to her, and Onan (209) also did like unto the work of his brother, and his work was evil in the sight of Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430), and he slew him also.

27 zk:

And when Onan (209) died, Y'hudah (3063) said unto Tamar (8559), Remain in thy father's house until my son Shelach (7974) shall have grown up, and Y'hudah (3063) did no more delight in Tamar (8559), to give her unto Shelach (7974), for he said, Peradventure he will also die like his brothers.

And Tamar (8559) rose up and went and remained in her father's house, and Tamar (8559) was in her father's house for some time.

29 jk:

And at the revolution of the year, Aliyat the wife of Y'hudah (3063) died; and Y'hudah (3063) was comforted for his wife, and after the death of Aliyat, Y'hudah (3063) went up with his friend Chirah (2437) to Tim'nah (8553) to shear their sheep.

30 l:

And Tamar (8559) heard that Y'hudah (3063) had gone up to Tim'nah (8553) to shear the sheep, and that Shelach (7974) was grown up, and Y'hudah (3063) did not delight in her.

31 al:

And Tamar (8559) rose up and put off the garments of her widowhood, and she put a vail upon her, and she entirely covered herself, and she went and sat in the public thoroughfare, which is upon the road to Tim'nah (8553).

32 bl:

And Y'hudah (3063) passed and saw her and took her and he came to her, and she conceived by him, and at the time of being delivered, behold, there were twins in her womb, and he called the name of the first Perets (6557), and the name of the second Zarach (2226).
