And it came to pass in the thirty-second year of Yis'ra'el (3478) going down to Mits'rayim (4714), that is in the seventy-first year of the life of Yoseph (3130), in that year died Pharaoh one reigning of Mits'rayim (4714), and Mag'ron his son reigned in his stead.

2 b:

And Pharaoh commanded Yoseph (3130) before his death to be a father to his son, Mag'ron, and that Mag'ron should be under the care of Yoseph (3130) and under his counsel.

3 g:

And all Mits'rayim (4714) consented to this thing that Yoseph (3130) should be king over them, for all of Mits'rayim (4714) loved Yoseph (3130) as of heretofore, only Mag'ron the son of Pharaoh sat upon, his father's throne, and he became king in those days in his father's stead.

4 d:

Mag'ron was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and forty years he reigned in Mits'rayim (4714), and all Mits'rayim (4714) called his name Pharaoh after the name of his father, as it was their custom to do in Mits'rayim (4714) to every king that reigned over them.

5 h:

And it came to pass when Pharaoh reigned in his father's stead, he placed the laws of Mits'rayim (4714) and all the affairs of government in the hand of Yoseph (3130), as his father charged him.

And Yoseph (3130) became king over Mits'rayim (4714), for he superintended over all Mits'rayim (4714), and all Mits'rayim (4714) was under his care and under his counsel, for all Mits'rayim (4714) inclined to Yoseph (3130) after the death of Pharaoh, and they loved him exceedingly to reign over them.

7 z:

But there were some people amongst them, who did not like him, saying, No stranger shall reign over us; still the whole government of Mits'rayim (4714) devolved in those days upon Yoseph (3130), after the death of Pharaoh, he being the regulator, doing as he liked throughout the land without any one interfering.

8 x:

And all Mits'rayim (4714) was under the care of Yoseph (3130), and Yoseph (3130) made war with all his surrounding enemies, and he subdued them; also all the land and all the P'lish'tim (6430), unto the borders of K'na'an (3667), did Yoseph (3130) subdue, and they were all under his power and they gave a yearly tax unto Yoseph (3130).

9 j:

And Pharaoh one reigning of Mits'rayim (4714) sat upon his throne in his father's stead, but he was under the control and counsel of Yoseph (3130), as he was at first under the control of his father.

10 y:

Neither did he reign but in the land of Mits'rayim (4714) only, under the counsel of Yoseph (3130), but Yoseph (3130) reigned over the whole country at that time, from Mits'rayim (4714) unto the great river P'rat (6578).

11 ay:

And Yoseph (3130) was successful in all his ways, and Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) was with him, and Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) gave Yoseph (3130) additional wisdom, and honor, and glory, and love toward him in the hearts of the Mits'rayim (4714) and throughout the land, and Yoseph (3130) reigned over the whole country forty years.

12 by:

And all the countries of the P'lish'tim (6430) and K'na'an (3667) and Tsidon (6721), and on the other side of Yar'den (3383), brought presents unto Yoseph (3130) all his days, and the whole country was in the hand of Yoseph (3130), and they brought unto him a yearly tribute as it was regulated, for Yoseph (3130) had fought against all his surrounding enemies and subdued them, and the whole country was in the hand of Yoseph (3130), and Yoseph (3130) sat securely upon his throne in Mits'rayim (4714).

13 gy:

And also all his brethren the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) dwelt securely in the land, all the days of Yoseph (3130), and they were fruitful and multiplied exceedingly in the land, and they served Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) all their days, as their father Ya'aqov (3290) charged them.

14 dy:

And it came to pass at the end of many days and years, when the sons of Esav (6215) were dwelling quietly in their land with Bela (1106) their king, that the sons of Esav (6215) were fruitful and multiplied in the land, and they resolved to go and fight with the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) and all Mits'rayim (4714), and to deliver their brother Ts'pho (6825), the son of Eliphaz (464), and his men, for they were yet in those days slaves to Yoseph (3130).

15 hj:

And the sons of Esav (6215) sent unto all the sons of the east, and they made peace with them, and all the sons of the east came unto them to go with the sons of Esav (6215) to Mits'rayim (4714) to battle.

16 wj:

And there came also unto them of the people of Angeas, one reigning of Din'havah (1838), and they also sent unto the sons of Yish'ma'el (3458) and they also came unto them.

17 zy:

And all this people assembled and came unto Se'ir (8165) to assist the sons of Esav (6215) in their battle, and this camp was very large and heavy with people, numerous as the sand of the sea, about eight hundred thousand men, infantry and cavalry, and all these troops went down to Mits'rayim (4714) to fight with the sons of Ya'aqov (3290), and they encamped by Ra'm'ses (7406).

18 xy:

And Yoseph (3130) went forth with his brethren with the mighty men of Mits'rayim (4714), about six hundred men, and they fought with them in the land of Ra'm'ses (7406); and the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) at that time again fought with the sons of Esav (6215), in the fiftieth year of the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) going down to Mits'rayim (4714), that is the thirtieth year of the reign of Bela (1106) over the sons of Esav (6215) in Se'ir (8165).

19 jy:

And Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) gave all the mighty men of Esav (6215) and the sons of the east into the hand of Yoseph (3130) and his brethren, and the people of the sons of Esav (6215) and the sons of the east were smitten before Yoseph (3130).

20 k:

And of the people of Esav (6215) and the sons of the east that were slain, there fell before the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) about two hundred thousand men, and their king Bela (1106) the son of B'or (1160) fell with them in the battle, and when the sons of Esav (6215) saw that their king had fallen in battle and was dead, their hands became weak in the combat.

21 ak:

And Yoseph (3130) and his brethren and all Mits'rayim (4714) were still smiting the people of the house of Esav (6215), and all the people of Esav (6215) were afraid of the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) and fled from before them.

22 bk:

And Yoseph (3130) and his brethren and all Mits'rayim (4714) pursued them a day's journey, and they slew yet from them about three hundred men, continuing to smite them in the road; and they afterward turned back from them.

23 gk:

And Yoseph (3130) and all his brethren returned to Mits'rayim (4714), not one man was missing from them, but of Mits'rayim (4714) there fell twelve men.

24 dk:

And when Yoseph (3130) returned to Mits'rayim (4714) he ordered Ts'pho (6825) and his men to be additionally bound, and they bound them in irons and they increased their grief.

25 hk:

And all the people of the sons of Esav (6215), and the sons of the east, returned in shame each unto his city, for all the mighty men that were with them had fallen in battle.

26 wk:

And when the sons of Esav (6215) saw that their king had died in battle they hastened and took a man from the people of the sons of the east; his name was Yovav (3103) the son of Zerach (2226), from the land of Bots'rah (1224), and they caused him to reign over them instead of Bela (1106) their king.

27 zk:

And Yovav (3103) sat upon the throne of Bela (1106) as king in his stead, and Yovav (3103) reigned in Edom (123) over all the sons of Esav (6215) ten years, and the sons of Esav (6215) went no more to fight with the sons of Ya'aqov (3290) from that day forward, for the sons of Esav (6215) knew the valor of the sons of Ya'aqov (3290), and they were greatly afraid of them.

28 xk:

But from that day forward the sons of Esav (6215) hated the sons of Ya'aqov (3290), and the hatred and enmity were very strong between them all the days, unto this day.

29 jk:

And it came to pass after this, at the end of ten years, Yovav (3103), the son of Zerach (2226), from Bots'rah (1224), died, and the sons of Esav (6215) took a man whose name was Chusham (2367), from the land of Teyman (8487), and they made him king over them instead of Yovav (3103), and Chusham (2367) reigned in Edom (123) over all the sons of Esav (6215) for twenty years.

30 l:

And Yoseph (3130), one reigning of Mits'rayim (4714), and his brethren, and all the sons of Yis'ra'el (3478) dwelt securely in Mits'rayim (4714) in those days, together with all the sons of Yoseph (3130) and his brethren, having no hindrance or evil accident and the land of Mits'rayim (4714) was at that time at rest from war in the days of Yoseph (3130) and his brethren.
