1 a:

In that year, being the seventy-ninth year of Yis'ra'el (3478) going down to Mits'rayim (4714), died R'uven (7205) the son of Ya'aqov (3290), in the land of Mits'rayim (4714) ; R'uven (7205) was a hundred and twenty-five years old when he died, and they put him into a coffin, and he was given into the hands of his sons.

2 b:

And in the eightieth year died his brother Dan (1835); he was a hundred and twenty years at his death, and he was also put into a coffin and given into the hands of his sons.

3 g:

And in that year died Chusham (2367) one reigning of Edom (123), and after him reigned Hadad (1908) the son of B'dad (911), for thirty-five years; and in the eighty-first year died Yisaskhar (3485) the son of Ya'aqov (3290), in Mits'rayim (4714), and Yisaskhar (3485) was a hundred and twenty-two years old at his death, and he was put into a coffin in Mits'rayim (4714), and given into the hands of his sons.

4 d:

And in the eighty-second year died Asher (836) his brother, he was a hundred and twenty-three years old at his death, and he was placed in a coffin in Mits'rayim (4714), and given into the hands of his sons.

5 h:

And in the eighty-third year died Gad (1410), he was a hundred and twenty-five years old at his death, and he was put into a coffin in Mits'rayim (4714), and given into the hands of his sons.

6 w:

And it came to pass in the eighty-fourth year, that is the fiftieth year of the reign of Hadad (1908), son of B'dad (911), one reigning of Edom (123), that Hadad (1908) assembled all the sons of Esav (6215), and he got his whole army in readiness, about four hundred thousand men, and he directed his way to the land of Mo'av (4124), and he went to fight with Mo'av (4124) and to make them tributary to him.

7 z:

And the sons of Mo'av (4124) heard this thing, and they were very much afraid, and they sent to the sons of Mid'yan (4080) to assist them in fighting with Hadad (1908), son of B'dad (911), one reigning of Edom (123).

8 x:

And Hadad (1908) came unto the land of Mo'av (4124), and Mo'av (4124) and the sons of Mid'yan (4080) went out to meet him, and they placed themselves in battle array against him in the field of Mo'av (4124).

9 j:

And Hadad (1908) fought with Mo'av (4124), and there fell of the sons of Mo'av (4124) and the sons of Mid'yan (4080) many slain ones, about two hundred thousand men.

10 y:

And the battle was very severe upon Mo'av (4124), and when the sons of Mo'av (4124) saw that the battle was sore upon them, they weakened their hands and turned their backs, and left the sons of Mid'yan (4080) to carry on the battle.

11 ay:

And the sons of Mid'yan (4080) knew not the intentions of Mo'av (4124), but they strengthened themselves in battle and fought with Hadad (1908) and all his host, and all Mid'yan (4080) fell before him.

12 by:

And Hadad (1908) smote all Mid'yan (4080) with a heavy smiting, and he slew them with the edge of the sword, he left none remaining of those who came to assist Mo'av (4124).

13 gy:

And when all the sons of Mid'yan (4080) had perished in battle, and the sons at Mo'av (4124) had escaped, Hadad (1908) made all Mo'av (4124) at that time tributary to him, and they became under his hand, and they gave a yearly tax as it was ordered, and Hadad (1908) turned and went back to his land.

14 dy:

And at the revolution of the year, when the rest of the people of Mid'yan (4080) that were in the land heard that all their brethren had fallen in battle with Hadad (1908) for the sake of Mo'av (4124), because the sons of Mo'av (4124) had turned their backs in battle and left Mid'yan (4080) to fight, then five of the princes of Mid'yan (4080) resolved with the rest of their brethren who remained in their land, to fight with Mo'av (4124) to avenge the cause of their brethren.

15 hj:

And the sons of Mid'yan (4080) sent to all their brethren the sons of the east, and all their brethren, all the sons of Q'turah (6989) came to assist Mid'yan (4080) to fight with Mo'av (4124).

16 wj:

And the sons of Mo'av (4124) heard this thing, and they were greatly afraid that all the sons of the east had assembled together against them for battle, and they the sons of Mo'av (4124) sent a memorial to the land of Edom (123) to Hadad (1908) the son of B'dad (911), saying,

17 zy:

Come now unto us and assist us and we will smite Mid'yan (4080), for they all assembled together and have come against us with all their brethren the sons of the east to battle, to avenge the cause of Mid'yan (4080) that fell in battle.

18 xy:

And Hadad (1908), son of B'dad (911), one reigning of Edom (123), went forth with his whole army and went to the land of Mo'av (4124) to fight with Mid'yan (4080), and Mid'yan (4080) and the sons of the east fought with Mo'av (4124) in the field of Mo'av (4124), and the battle was very fierce between them.

19 jy:

And Hadad (1908) smote all the sons of Mid'yan (4080) and the sons of the east with the edge of the sword, and Hadad (1908) at that time delivered Mo'av (4124) from the hand of Mid'yan (4080), and those that remained of Mid'yan (4080) and of the sons of the east fled before Hadad (1908) and his army, and Hadad (1908) pursued them to their land, and smote them with a very heavy slaughter, and the slain fell in the road.

20 k:

And Hadad (1908) delivered Mo'av (4124) from the hand of Mid'yan (4080), for all the sons of Mid'yan (4080) had fallen by the edge of the sword, and Hadad (1908) turned and went back to his land.

21 ak:

And from that day forth, the sons of Mid'yan (4080) hated the sons of Mo'av (4124), because they had fallen in battle for their sake, and there was a great and mighty enmity between them all the days.

22 bk:

And all that were found of Mid'yan (4080) in the road of the land of Mo'av (4124) perished by the sword of Mo'av (4124), and all that were found of Mo'av (4124) in the road of the land of Mid'yan (4080), perished by the sword of Mid'yan (4080); thus did Mid'yan (4080) unto Mo'av (4124) and Mo'av (4124) unto Mid'yan (4080) for many days.

23 gk:

And it came to pass at that time that Y'hudah (3063) the son of Ya'aqov (3290) died in Mits'rayim (4714), in the eighty-sixth year of Ya'aqov (3290) going down to Mits'rayim (4714), and Y'hudah (3063) was a hundred and twenty-nine years old at his death, and they embalmed him and put him into a coffin, and he was given into the hands of his sons.

24 dk:

And in the eighty-ninth year died Naph'tali (5321), he was a hundred and thirty-two years old, and he was put into a coffin and given into the hands of his sons.

25 hk:

And it came to pass in the ninety-first year of Yis'ra'el (3478) going down to Mits'rayim (4714), that is in the thirtieth year of the reign of Ts'pho (6825) the son of Eliphaz (464), the son of Esav (6215), over the sons of Kitim (3794), the sons of Africa came upon the sons of Kitim (3794) to plunder them as usual, but they had not come upon them for these thirteen years.

26 wk:

And they came to them in that year, and Ts'pho (6825) the son of Eliphaz (464) went out to them with some of his men and smote them desperately, and the troops of Africa fled from before Ts'pho (6825) and the slain fell before him, and Ts'pho (6825) and his men pursued them, going on and smiting them until they were near unto Africa.

27 zk:

And Angeas one reigning of Africa heard the thing which Ts'pho (6825) had done, and it vexed him exceedingly, and Angeas was afraid of Ts'pho (6825) all the days.
