haYashar Jasher 78
:At that time died Ba'al Chanan (1177) son of Akh'bor (5907), one reigning of Edom (123), and was buried in his house in the land of Edom (123).
:And after his death the sons of Esav (6215) sent to the land of Edom (123), and took from there a man who was in Edom (123), whose name was Hadad (1908), and they made him one reigning over them in the place of Ba'al Chanan (1177), their one reigning.
:And Hadad (1908) reigned over the sons of Edom (123) forty-eight years.
:And when he reigned he resolved to fight against the sons of Mo'av (4124), to bring them under the power of the sons of Esav (6215) as they were before, but he was not able, because the sons of Mo'av (4124) heard this thing, and they rose up and hastened to elect a one reigning over them from amongst their brethren.
:And they afterward gathered together a great people, and sent to the sons of Amon (5983) their brethren for help to fight against Hadad (1908) one reigning of Edom (123).
:And Hadad (1908) heard the thing which the sons of Mo'av (4124) had done, and was greatly afraid of them, and refrained from fighting against them.
:In those days Mosheh (4872), the son of Am'ram (6019), in Mid'yan (4080), took Tsiporah (6855), the daughter of R'u'el (7467) the Mid'yani (4080), for a wife.
:And Tsiporah (6855) walked in the ways of the daughters of Ya'aqov (3290), she was nothing short of the righteousness of Sarah (8283), Riv'qah (7259), Rachel (7354) and Le'ah (3812).
:And Tsiporah (6855) conceived and bare a son and he called his name Ger'shom (1647), for he said, I was a stranger in a foreign land; but he circumcised not his foreskin, at the command of R'u'el (7467) his father-in-law.
:And she conceived again and bare a son, but circumcised his foreskin, and called his name Eli'ezer (461), for Mosheh (4872) said, Because haElohim (430) of my fathers was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh.
:And Pharaoh one reigning of Mits'rayim (4714) greatly increased the labor of the sons of Yis'ra'el (3478) in those days, and continued to make his yoke heavier upon the sons of Yis'ra'el (3478).
:And he ordered a proclamation to be made in Mits'rayim (4714), saying, Give no more straw to the people to make bricks with, let them go and gather themselves straw as they can find it.
:Also the tale of bricks which they shall make let them give each day, and diminish nothing from them, for they are idle in their work.
:And the sons of Yis'ra'el (3478) heard this, and they mourned and sighed, and they cried unto Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) on account of the bitterness of their souls.
:And Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) heard the cries of the sons of Yis'ra'el (3478), and saw the oppression with which Mits'rayim (4714) oppressed them.
:And Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) was jealous of his people and his inheritance, and heard their voice, and he resolved to take them out of the affliction of Mits'rayim (4714), to give them the land of K'na'an (3667) for a possession.
