Yovel Jubilees 27

1 a:

And the words of Esav (6215), her elder son, were told to Riv'qah (7259) in a dream, and Riv'qah (7259) sent and called Ya'aqov (3290) her younger son,

2 b:

and said unto him: 'Behold Esav (6215) thy brother will take vengeance on thee so as to kill thee.

3 g:

Now, therefore, my son, obey my voice, and arise and flee thou to Lavan (3837), my brother, to Haran (2039), and tarry with him a few days until thy brother's anger turns away, and he remove his anger from thee, and forget all that thou hast done; then I will send and fetch thee from thence.'

4 d:

And Ya'aqov (3290) said: 'I am not afraid; if he wishes to kill me, I will kill him.'

5 h:

But she said unto him: 'Let me not be bereft of both my sons on one day.'

6 w:

And Ya'aqov (3290) said to Riv'qah (7259) his mother: 'Behold, thou knowest that my father has become old, and does not see because his eyes are dull, and if I leave him it will be evil in his eyes, because I leave him and go away from you, and my father will be angry, and will curse me. I will not go; when he sends me, then only will I go.'

7 z:

And Riv'qah (7259) said to Ya'aqov (3290): 'I will go in and speak to him, and he will send thee away.'

8 x:

And Riv'qah (7259) went in and said to Yits'chaq (3327): 'I loathe my life because of the two daughters of Chet (2845), whom Esav (6215) has taken him as wives; and if Ya'aqov (3290) take a wife from among the daughters of the land such as these, for what purpose do I further live, for the daughters of K'na'an (3667) are evil.'

9 j:

And Yits'chaq (3327) called Ya'aqov (3290) and blessed him, and admonished him and said unto him: 'Do not take thee a wife of any of the daughters of K'na'an (3667);

10 y:

arise and go to Mesopotamia, to the house of B'tu'el (1328), thy mother's father, and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Lavan (3837), thy mother's brother.

11 ay:

And Elohim (430) Almighty bless thee and increase and multiply thee that thou mayest become a company of nations, and give thee the blessings of my father Av'raham (85), to thee and to thy seed after thee, that thou mayest inherit the land of thy sojournings and all the land which Elohim (430) gave to Av'raham (85): go, my son, in peace.'

12 by:

And Yits'chaq (3327) sent Ya'aqov (3290) away, and he went to Mesopotamia, to Lavan (3837) the son of B'tu'el (1328) the Syrian, the brother of Riv'qah (7259), Ya'aqov (3290)'s mother.

13 gy:

And it came to pass after Ya'aqov (3290) had arisen to go to Mesopotamia that the spirit of Riv'qah (7259) was grieved after her son, and she wept.

14 dy:

And Yits'chaq (3327) said to Riv'qah (7259): 'My sister, weep not on account of Ya'aqov (3290), my son; for he goeth in peace, and in peace will he return.

15 hj:

The Most High Elohim (430) will preserve him from all evil, and will be with him; for He will not forsake him all his days;

16 wj:

For I know that his ways will be prospered in all things wherever he goes, until he return in peace to us, and we see him in peace.

17 zy:

Fear not on his account, my sister, for he is on the upright path and he is a perfect man: and he is faithful and will not perish. Weep not.'

18 xy:

And Yits'chaq (3327) comforted Riv'qah (7259) on account of her son Ya'aqov (3290), and blessed him.

19 jy:

And Ya'aqov (3290) went from the Well of the Oath to go to Haran (2039) on the first year of the second week in the forty-fourth jubilee, and he came to Luz (3870) on the mountains, that is, Beyt El (1008), on the new moon of the first month of this week, [2115 A.M.] and he came to the place at even and turned from the way to the west of the road that night: and he slept there; for the sun had set.

20 k:

And he took one of the stones of that place and laid <it at his head> under the tree, and he was journeying alone, and he slept.

21 ak:

And he dreamt that night, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven, and behold, the angels of Y'hovah (3068) ascended and descended on it: and behold, the Lord stood upon it.

22 bk:

And he spake to Ya'aqov (3290) and said: 'I am Y'hovah (3068) Elohim (430) of Av'raham (85), thy father, and the Elohim (430) of Yits'chaq (3327); the land whereon thou art sleeping, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed after thee.

23 gk:

And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt increase to the west and to the east, to the north and the south, and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the nations be blessed.

24 dk:

And behold, I will be with thee, and will keep thee whithersoever thou goest, and I will bring thee again into this land in peace; for I will not leave thee until I do everything that I told thee of.'

25 hk:

And Ya'aqov (3290) awoke from his sleep, and said, 'Truly this place is the house of Y'hovah (3068), and I knew it not.' And he was afraid and said: 'Dreadful is this place which is none other than the house of Elohim (430), and this is the gate of heaven.'

26 wk:

And Ya'aqov (3290) arose early in the morning, and took the stone which he had put under his head and set it up as a pillar for a sign, and he poured oil upon the top of it. And he called the name of that place Beyt El (1008); but the name of the place was Luz (3870) at the first.

27 zk:

And Ya'aqov (3290) vowed a vow unto Y'hovah (3068), saying: 'If Y'hovah (3068) will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and give me bread to eat and raiment to put on, so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then shall Y'hovah (3068) be my Elohim (430), and this stone which I have set up as a pillar for a sign in this place, shall be Y'hovah (3068)'s house, and of all that thou givest me, I shall give the tenth to thee, my Elohim (430).'
